FIUTS Fridays Underway
Summer has finally arrived and we are taking advantage of all of the exciting summer activities in Seattle every Friday. From local festivals to new neighborhoods, outdoor concerts/movies to city parks, FIUTS Fridays are your avenue to summer adventure and meeting new people.
Our first FIUTS Friday of the season was a success despite the rain. We bussed toward Volunteer Park and navigated our way to Bruce Lee’s grave— chattering together under our over-sized umbrellas. We met a group of people filming a movie and they were using the cemetery as their set. After the park, we relaxed and enjoyed an Indian feast at Chutney’s on 15th! Learning that a little mist is actually quite pleasant and provides a new perspective on the city’s sights, smells, and encounters, we were quite happy that we did not stay in on this Friday.
The second FIUTS Friday of 2012 we ventured in to Discovery Park. After getting some snacks to go, we meandered through the Ballard Locks and on in to Discovery Park. The park was so beautiful, we know that we just explored the tip of the iceberg when it came to the whole park, but knowing how to get there will surely spark more adventures to come!
There are plenty more FIUTS Friday's on the horizon - join us!
