Global Gala is the FIUTS Student Board's farewell party for all international students
leaving or graduating at the end of the academic year. It is a chance to come together and celebrate one more time with all the friends, facilitators and staffs you've met at UW.

Where can I buy tickets?

Tickets go on sale at the FIUTS office (HUB 206) beginning in April, and will also be sold at Wednesday Lunch (April & May). Get your ticket before the party sells out!

Where is Global Gala?

Global Gala 2014 will take place on Saturday, May 17th in the Walker-Ames Room in Kane Hall from 8pm-12am. Check out the Gala 2014 Facebook event for more exciting info!

Who can attend?

UW Students, alumni and friends can attend. Ticket prices are $15 in advance; $18 at the door.

What is included in the ticket price?

As well as admission to the Gala, your ticket price includes food and beverages.

What is the deal with the theme?

Every Year Global Gala has a theme to celebrate one culture or region in particular. The 2014 theme is Brazilian Carnival!

Is there parking?

Yes, there is complimentary parking at the Central Plaza Parking Garage located directly under Kane Hall.

Alcohol will be served, does this mean I cannot come if I am not 21?

Global Gala is an all-ages event! Everyone is welcome. Those 21+ can choose complimentary drinks from the wine and beer bar, those underage will have the choice between several non-alcoholic drinks. Bring valid, government issued photo ID.

Will there be dinner at Global Gala?

No, only lights snacks and desserts. So meet up with friends before and eat something!

What should I wear?

Brazilian Carnival is all about colors so put on a colorful dress, suit or semi-formal attire and your favorite dancing shoes.
