K-12 Education Programs

Global AmbassadorConnecting UW international students with the community is a central part of the FIUTS mission. Education Programs bring the world to your doorstep by providing resources and expertise in cultural exchange and global issues.

For K-12 teachers in the Seattle area, FIUTS offers many ways to enrich your global curriculum and connect your students with people from around the world.  Click the links below for more information:

Classroom Visits

FIUTS brings UW international students into K-12 classrooms, after-school programs, and senior living centers. The students give interactive and personalized presentations about their country and culture.

Pen Pals

Designed for students in grades 4-6, the Pen Pal program coordinates the exchange of letters and emails with a UW student over an 8 week period.  The program ends with lunch on the UW campus, bringing the pen pals together face to face.
