Events & Activities
With FIUTS, you can go on a hike, visit a local Farmers Market, go on a getaway to the Oregon coast, and much more. We organize more than 200 events each year to explore the Puget Sound region and meet other students from around the world. Pick up a current calendar in the FIUTS office in HUB 206, or click here for the online version.
Facilitator Program- This leadership program for UW students provides the opportunity to lead events, give classroom presentations to schoolchildren, welcome new international students during orientation, serve on a committee, receive leadership mentorship, and be a part of the FIUTS Facilitator family. For more information on how to become a facilitator, click here.
A monthly, free lunch open to everyone. Wednesday lunch welcomes more than 250 attendees each month, including students and community members from all over the world. This is an opportunity to make new friends, connect with other students, and try peanut butter and jelly sandwiches!
These programs provide opportunities for students and scholars to share their culture with children from local schools. Correspond with a local student through the pen pal program, or join fellow UW students to visit a school on Global Ambassador Day!
Explore your future career path by meeting a professional in your field of interests at this special spring quarter FIUTS program, which includes a week of career focused workshops, tours, and networking events.
