FIUTS is Moving!
As you may have heard, the FIUTS office is moving out of our longtime home in the HUB. Over the course of the month of September, we'll be moving to a new space on the second floor of Schmitz Hall. The new FIUTS office will be co-located with a new University of Washington initiative called CIRCLE (Center for International Relations and Cultural Leadership Exchange). This move is part of an effort to centralize different sources of support and opportunities for international students on campus, and better engage all students - international and domestic - in global learning and leadership experiences at UW.
FIUTS, Unite UW, and CIRCLE are the three partner organizations that will be housed in the office in Schmitz 250. This new space also includes a large lounge area for students, and a conference room where partner organizations can hold meetings and trainings. Keep an eye out for activities that will be happening in this new space in Fall quarter!
Through this transition, FIUTS will continue to bring the same transformative cross-cultural experiences to the UW and Seattle communities as we have for the last 71 years. All of our programs - International Welcome Programs, Events and Activities, Wednesday Lunch, CulturalFest, Global Ambassador Day and Community Visits, Student Leadership, Homestay & Friendship Programs, Conversation Groups, World to Work, Pen Pal, Visiting Programs, FIUTS Ambassadors, Embark, Seattle Language and Culture Institute, and more - will remain the same. We're excited for the opportunity to partner more closely with others at UW who are invested in a thriving global campus community, and invite you to come visit us in our new space (where we'll still always have snacks!).
Although we will be co-located with UW offices, FIUTS remains an independent 501C3 nonprofit organization that has been working to provide global experiences in our community since 1948. Please consider a donation to support our work during this transition and beyond.
