Meet the FIUTS Summer 2021 SUSIs: Tunisia

FIUTS is thrilled to welcome 24 undergraduates from Brazil, India, Indonesia, Nigeria, Russia, and Tunisia as part of the 2021 Study of the US Institute (SUSI) for Student Leaders on Education and the Future of Work. While this program usually takes place in person in Seattle, we are excited to host our first virtual SUSI this summer!

During the 5-week virtual program, the group will study the ways in which technology, innovation, and globalization are prompting the development of new initiatives to educate and prepare youth with the professional skills needed to succeed in the future. They will also take part in curriculum development seminars to prepare them to develop and lead trainings that benefit their home communities.

Every day this week FIUTS will introduce the SUSI participants from one of the six country groups that make up the 2021 cohort. Continue on to read more about the SUSIs representing Tunisia!

Asma Moula

I am Asma from Tunis, Tunisia in north Africa. I am a 5th grade pharmacy student, and I will be participating in the SUSI Education and the Future of Work Program. I am really grateful to be given the chance to be a part of such a great program with such talented people. Because of covid and all the restrictions, the human interaction is what I miss the most and I am very happy to be able to interact with all of you even from a screen. I am a very passionate person in life, I enjoy painting a lot, dancing, reading books, watching movies! I am also a very spiritual person I try to meditate every day in the morning and count my blessings. My favorite book is the power of now by Eckhart Tolle, since I read that book I have never been the same, it shifted all of my perspectives and made a better person today. I highly recommend it! I also love interacting with people from different places that's why I had been a member in AIESEC for 2 years to meet people from all over the world and learn about their cultures.  I hope we will make this experience a very memorable one!
