Why "Blue Marble"?
The Blue Marble is an image of the Earth that the crew of the Apollo 17 spacecraft captured on December 7, 1972 at a distance of about 45,000km (28,000 miles). It is one of the most reproduced images in human history.
FIUTS celebrates and honors the diversity of our "Blue Marble" by bringing our community together to cultivate cross-cultural understanding and global student leadership.
The iconic “Blue Marble” image of the globe.
