Visiting Programs Ambassador Application

Visiting Programs Ambassadors are University of Washington student volunteers who receive training and experience in leadership, planning, teamwork, and citizen diplomacy. Ambassadors are an integral part of FIUTS visiting programs and act as cultural liaisons, peer mentors, friends and leaders during the international participants’ time in Seattle. As an Ambassador you can learn new skills, have fun, make friends, build your resume, and support FIUTS’ mission to inspire cross-cultural friendship and understanding on campus and in our community.

Ambassadors will have the opportunity to meet and spend time with all of the visiting program participants, but will be matched one to one with a specific participant whom they will support throughout the program.

Upcoming Visiting Program Ambassador Opportunities: FIUTS will host the 2019 Culture and Friendship Program with Minami Kyushu Junior College from September 6th through September 14th. Through this program, five students from Minami Kyushu Junior College in Miyazaki, Japan will gain a better understanding of U.S. diversity and culture, expand their English language skills, all while getting to know the people and places of Seattle.

FIUTS is seeking five volunteer ambassadors who are available for the following activities:

  • A pre-program training 5-6:30pm on Tuesday, September 3rd
