During this program, students and adults participate in workshops, site visits, and volunteer service activities focused on the themes of Youth Engagement and Social Transformation. Participants gain skills and experiences intended to prepare them to plan and implement community action projects once they return to their home countries. They stay with host families during their time in Seattle and have opportunities to meet and connect with local youth through the FIUTS Ambassadors program.

FIUTS produces the Seattle portion of this Youth Ambassadors Program through a contract with World Learning, and the program is fully funded by the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
