Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service (Mentoring / Project planning support)

  • FIUTS 909 Northeast 43rd Street Seattle, WA, 98105 United States (map)

Empower a group of college students from southern Africa who are visiting Seattle for a month as part of the Study of the US Institute on Civic Engagement program funded by the Department of State. Help young leaders create change in their communities at home (Angola, Botswana, Mozambique, South Africa, Zimbabwe). Help them develop their project ideas for the community action plans, share your experience and provide your feedback. Do a mock interview and help the participants with their interviewing skills. Volunteer service is followed by a networking mixer with professionals from different fields, food and drinks are provided.
