FIUTS Connections
FIUTS Connections matches incoming students preparing to study in Puget Sound this fall with local peers across campuses. With more than 4,000 new students planning to begin their studies in our area, the program is a chance to build an early relationship through dialogue and shared experiences, reducing isolation and strengthening community connection. FIUTS connections is open to incoming students, current students, and recent graduates (graduated within the last two years)!
A core strength of FIUTS’ model is that early connection leads to deeper engagement over time. Students who build relationships through FIUTS programs are more likely to participate as volunteers, share their perspectives as guest speakers, and take on leadership roles within FIUTS and in the broader community. These early experiences help students feel a stronger sense of belonging in Seattle, increasing the likelihood that they remain engaged throughout their studies and beyond. Many alumni who stay in the region after graduation go on to contribute to the local economy and civic life as leaders in business, technology, education, and community organizations.
