FIUTS Pathways

FIUTS is excited to launch Pathways, a quarterly professional development seminar series supplemented with leadership and soft-skill development workshops.

Two primary program arms:

  1. Facilitated seminars (roughly 90 minutes long) on how to enter a specific field led by professional(s) in that field → here is how you get into this field and how to succeed/make it a career. Along with the presentation, there will be time for questions and networking. In each quarterly series, we aim to have multiple sectors of the economy represented, and based on the facilitator (s)' experience (s) and interest (s), these seminars could be narrowly focused (e.g., a career in waste management regulatory compliance consulting) or broad (e.g., a nonprofit program management career writ large). Light snacks will be provided.

  2. Soft-skills and leadership development workshops → here is how you make sure that you are prepared to be part of a team, how to lead a team, working with a multicultural team, conflict resolution, etc. More interactive: group activities, short videos, surveys, etc.
