The FIUTS Wednesday Lunch program is the largest international gathering on the University of Washington campus, and is held once a month during the academic year. Each month hundreds of local and international students mingle with community members to enjoy a free lunch, make new friends, and bump in to friends you have made through FIUTS. Check the FIUTS events calendar to learn when the next lunch will be.
When and Where is it?
Who can attend?
FIUTS Wednesday Lunch takes place from 11:30am-1:30pm each month (September-June); typically there is no October Lunch and June Lunch depends on UW Finals Week schedule. The locations for each lunch and other information can be found on the FIUTS events calendar.
Anyone! Whether you are local, international, a student, an alum, or a community member; you and your friends are welcome to attend. ALL ARE WELCOME!
Free food? Is there a catch?
Do I need to bring anything?
Nope! Wednesday Lunch has a long history with FIUTS and continues to serve as the one consistent time each month where globally minded individuals can make themselves a free wrap or sandwich and catch up with old friends (and meet new ones).
FIUTS is committed to providing sustainable and environmentally-responsible programs. The Wednesday Lunch program recycles over 80% of its materials, and provides on site-composting. In addition, although the beverages at Wednesday Lunch are free, FIUTS asks that you bring your own mug or cup to enjoy them. For those who come to Wednesday lunch without their own cup, reusable FIUTS mugs and glassware will be available for purchase on site.
