This year's Seattle Language and Culture Institute (SLCI) brought together 24 students ages 13-17 from all over the world together for an incredible two weeks with FIUTS!

We had some amazing experiences with this fun, motivated, and energetic group. From classes in the mornings to exciting activities every afternoon and evening, every day offered countless opportunities to share cultures, learn languages, and make friends. Here are our top 10 favorite photos!

 During the morning, students went to either English Language class, Global Leadership class. On some days, both classes came together for a collaborative class in which they worked on projects in small cross-cultural groups.

 In the afternoons, all participants went on fun local excursions and did a variety of activities together around Seattle. One day included a volunteer service project where students packaged food for those who need it.

 At our overnight retreat near Mount Rainier, students played fun (and silly) games in teams to get to know each other even better.

 We split up into small groups for a couple hours of hiking at Mt. Rainier before heading back to Seattle.

 Students in the Global Leadership class came from all over the Seattle area, as well as other parts of the U.S. and around the world. On the last day of the program, they organized fundraising activities and raised over $100 in just one hour for international community-based projects funded by  One Day's Wages .
