GiveBIG to Global Understanding
FIUTS is older than the Space Needle - with a history of bringing international visitors and the people of the Puget Sound together for cultural exchange, dialogue, and understanding.
Each spring, GiveBIG draws attention to nonprofits making a difference across our state. What makes the day of giving distinct is not just its scale, but its range. There’s no single issue at the center. Instead, it reflects the many ways people care for their communities, from education and healthcare to the arts, environment, and cultural exchange. During GiveBIG, every donor can feel like they are making an impact alongside their neighbors and friends.
When you give to FIUTS, you help fund connections, curiosity, and real-world opportunity for students and families across our region.
At FIUTS, spring and early summer are the most active times on our calendar. Students step into new leadership roles. New volunteers join. Families sign up to host. A full season of programming begins to take shape, and plans are made for visiting student groups who will join us in the coming months.
“The FIUTS program changed my overall outlook on life. I am grateful for this and will take all that i have learned to help the world and myself.”
The support raised during GiveBIG goes directly into what’s already in motion: students from Kiribati meeting their first Seattle family, a Japanese exchange group sharing a summer afternoon at a Mariners game, a student from Seoul visiting a third-grade classroom in Rainier Beach. These aren’t abstract ideas — they’re real moments, already approaching.
Help make this summer of global experiences possible - GiveBIG to FIUTS on May 5th!
